Foo Fighters

My mate at work managed to get hold of a couple of tickets for the 'secret' gig at London Astoria next week. 1 for him, 1 for me!

OMG please don't tell my daughter she would kill for a ticket, I think she would sell me into slavery.........lol.

I think it's only supposed to be known by people on their mailing list.........so it's not going to stay secret for long...........

Nuts! I forgot to take my phone that night, so no pics from me. shouldn't be too hard to find some though because the other 1999 people there all had theirs.

Suffice to say it was AWESOME! The bit that sums it up is where Dave announced that in the previous song, he'd been singing so hard, he'd, erm, been sick in his mouth and had to swallow it back. He then advised the crowd he expected them to do the same during the next song, which was Breakout, I think, so probably a lot did...

Another good bit was when Taylor and Dave swapped places! T singing and D drumming. The audience went mad when they swapped over, I reckon a lot of people were wondering if we were gonna get a Nirvana song... My mate reckoned they should have started playing teen spirit just for a laugh... Anyways, it was to play the song on the new album that Taylor sings. (Off the not so loud CD, except they forgot that bit and played it VERY loud! It's true what they say about Dave's drumming. No-one hits the drums as hard as he does...)

The set list was pretty crowd pleasing. They played most of the songs on the new album loud CD as well as something from all the older ones.

I don't go to many gigs, but I've now seen RHCP twice and the Foo Fighters twice. I'd go see FF again, no worries! As a fan was once rumoured to have said to Dave - "You guys f*****g rock! "
