Hi Colin not that I am aware of.
What do you feed and what does the vet say.

I don't suppose the conditions will be identical, but my boy has had problems with an ulcerated colon for almost 3 years now. I would ask your vet about doing some test feeding to find out what type of food is likely to suit him best. (Allowing a few weeks on each for a fair trial). Although wheat is the most common allergen, my lad appeared to react most to maize as an ingredient, and has ended up on Wainwrights grain free kibble. I add a good variety of (usually cooked) chopped vegetables, and a little of either Butchers Tripe, Naturo tray food, or minced beef as a garnish. I also give a probiotic and a fish oil capsule.
He is rarely constipated these days, but if it is needed I give him 5mls of Lactulose in a little milk, (he weighs 17 kilos).

Psyllium should help. Hope she's OK soon.

I wouldn't give her all bran, if it's the human cereal you're talking about - it actually has a high amount of sugar in it which won't help. Better to give her fresh food that has plenty of soluble fibre in. Maybe see what the medicine does first though, then ask the vet what fibre foods you could supplement with.

You may notice your constipated dog appears bloated. He may be in some pain as well, especially during the act of trying unsuccessfully to poop. If he’s able to pass stool, it may have an odd color – usually darker than normal. You may notice mucus or blood or other oddities you’ve never noticed before.
