Many thanks to you all for your wishes for Loki. She took another one at 5.20 am this morning. At the moment, she is sleeping. I never slept - long night it was I couldn't even sit with the lamp on as it's best to keep her in the shade.

It was a bit of a shock as I thought she may get thru to the year end at least - but can't complain, it is 5 months since her last lot!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this Rose, just as you thought things were going so well since June. I can only hope like you are, that the last one at 5.00 am. will be her last and you can get some sleep. The things we go through hey, but I'm sure you know exactly what to do and can keep her more than comfortable. Hugs for you Rose, and wags and licks from the doglets, I hope things stay nice and calm for you now.xxxxxxxx

Many thanks, Helena, for you wishes for Loki. She took another one at 8.20 am - that is about 3 hours between each. I am going to call the vet at 9 am to see if I should give her any extra phenos and/or potassium, her fits, although bad, are not just as bad as they were last year, so that's a plus. She has eaten more chicken breasts mashed up in water, which I put in the microwave for about 10 secs to take the chill off them. Good job I cooked them yesterday morning for her! Her back legs are beginning to get looser now - took a bit longer after the last fit!

Aye, you're right, Helena, what we go thru' for our dogs but Loki is worth it - she even managed a smile for me, bless her.

Sorry to hear this Rose. You do such a good job looking after her through her fits, but it must take so much out of you.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the episode is soon over and that it is many, many months until her next one.

Bad luck, lots of thoughts to you and Loki. It is awful when they do fit.

Hopefully it can be sorted, maybe she has put on wieght or grown a bit and needs a slightly higher dose.

Did you know that some foods have rosemary in them and that sometimes doesn't help?
