I've just spoken to Helena on the phone and she is bit calmer now...poor Zena, I think Helena's instincts are right. If Zena is in pain then the pain killers could just be masking eveything couln't it.

Anyway she's gone to the vets for the meds and she will get back to us all later for an update.

Glad to hear Zena may be feeling a little better. I think what you suggested about slomething happeneing in the garden is right. Or maybe it was an allergic reaxtion to something?

Anway I hope she continues to get better and the vet can give you some answers.

Aw Helena I am so very sorry to hear about Zena. When I first read this I thought of heat stroke but if she is in pain, I don't think it is. If she has jumped up after the bee or a bird, she may have pulled a muscle.

I do hope that things will get better for her and you as well, today. Once the meds kick in, should help her. Bless her.

Will be thinking of you and Zena. Will say a wee prayer.

Big gentle hugs to the lovely Zena from me and Loki sends doggy licks to her as well.

Take care.

Healing thoughts to Zena xxxx

Helena , so sorry, just saw this.

How is she doing now, sorry , if I have already missed something,, but some mentioned an adder bite, could that be a possibility.

Also if you think she is still in pain, but meds are masking it... you you think she could have injured herself, something like slipping a disc or the likes.

Did the vet check for anything like that..you know the way she throws herself around, she could have damaged something,??

Lets hope you get to the bottom of it.

Big Hugs to you both

Could be a season. I had a bitch who seemed to suffer with pains in her seasons, hunched up, wouldn't come in the house, howling with pain. It resolved itself after she had a litter (not advocating this!) so it may be hormonally related.
Glad to hear things are calmer now and hope she recovers well.
