As deez said, it says alot about these girls that they asked to pet your dog first. Sad, but great to see.

Bless. They must be from a real dog loving family, asking permission to pet and coming out with such sweet sentiments.
Perhaps once the hurt of losing their rottie heals the family will get a new dog.

It's silly little moments like that that temporarily restore your faith in human nature. And you have to give the parents credit - there are some people out there teaching their children about dogs properly.
