Instead of stuff like this , why not campaign against the real effects of present anti-dog laws - like bans on pets in council accomodation, leash laws in Manchester etc.
Not my cause I just wondered if anyone had read the article and how stupid it is thats all.

It's the law that's stupid, not the article.

I remember only to well that bill comming out because at the time i had a 6 month old Pit bull bitch she had to be microchipped tattooed with her DD number, (i still remember it it was ED2396B she had tattooed on the inside of her back leg), spayed, insured, muzzeled, and kept on a lead at all times, it was very hard on her, the choices we were given was get every thing done or have the dogs put to sleep, the price of every thing went up because we had no choice but to pay the high rates for the pit bull conformed to the law, but to be honest the ones who would cause a problem by having a dangerous dog never bothered it was the only the responsible owners that registered so they never fixed the problem they just drove it under ground, and there was plenty of Pit bulls around unregistered,

This makes interesting reading. Its interesting how the saarloos wolfdog/hond has been banned, but there is no mention of the czechoslovakian wolfdog anywhere. Infact I believe the the czech wolfdog, is now recognised by the akc. With the breeds being so similar in apperance and history, it seems strange that one is singled out and not the other. I can't imagine them being successful in introducing any kind of size ban over here. After all, police dogs and guide dogs are mostly breeds over 20 kg. The orriginal post real or not, does make a valid point.

This list of dogs that are NOT UNIFORMLY banned/restricted across the U.S.
Individual states, cities, counties or towns all make LOCAL LAWS - and those laws
differ according to individual communities.

Well my dog Zeus ticks all them boxes, he's over 20kg, he's brindle and he's taller then 16inches from floor to his shoulder. He's a boxer cross, possibly with staffie, or lab or german shepherd.

So a possible goodbye :'(

Our government is just bloody pathetic!
Any links to this btw?
