my weight loss

After fighting with my weight for some time, I decided to go to the doctor, we had a chat about the effect that trying to do to much exercise was having on my back,

long story short... the problem is, while im over weight the amount of exercise I do is limited or I end up with serious pain,

so, I have been given a drug that helps,

in the last two weeks I have lost 14lbs in weight,. dont get me wrong, you still have to work hard at it,

rather than walking two dogs at a time, I walking them one at a time for a slightly shorter walk, but still giving me more regular {small amounts of exercise.

I have my weekly check again tomorrow morning, so have the weight loss confirmed then,

but all in all I really pleased with how its going.

Well done keep it up - you should find that as you lose weight your back will improve. I have lost nearly three stone and have back problems (from pregancy) and its improved. I have had my dog six months and i must say all the walking (about 1.5-2 hours a day) has kept the weight off and i am still losing. Its very hard though i think especially if you love food !

Reductil, they have an effect on the seratonin{sp?} level in the brain, they also help speed metabolisim. I have also noticed my SAD has felt better since starting on them

I think they only use Orlistat if you have a high fat diet, I took a list of all I had eaten for a month to the doctor with me, as I dont have a very high fat diet and the weight gain is more due to my limited amount of exercise she didnt think orlistat would be of use... apparently the side effects do help people with a high fat diet see the error of there ways though

Im still on the lowest level 10mg just now which will go up to 15mg..though I dont expect to shed a stone every two weeks I think it may level out. But that said the more weight I loss the more exercise I can do. so Im hoping that when I hit a decent weight I will be able to shed the rest without the medication
