We had an Iranian dish called Gormeh Sabzi (Persian Herb stew). It is my sons absolutely favorite dish. but also loved by the whole family.

Ingredients are chopped beef or lamb, onions, lots of garlic, turmeric, tomato puree, kidney beans, lots of herbs which comprise of Coriander, Spinach, Fenugreek, spring onions, Dill (I buy mine dried and ready prepared). Dried lime is also added.

The dish is really flavoursome, with the tang of the limes, tender meat, and served with steamed rice. Yum

Sorry, no picture. (but it tastes better then it looks lol)

Well this week meals have been. Emptying freezer of UFO'S
Saturday; Salmon, mashed potato sweetcorn with peppers.
Sunday; Roast chicken with full roast dinner ...
Monday; Chicken tikka massala with boiled rice & Naan
Tuesday; Gammon steak (cut up) with pasta
Wednesday;Turkey Chasseur with rice.
Thursday; Meal out at a carvery, I had turkey...yummy.
Tonight; The other Gammon steak (brought 2) with patsa (different sauce)
Tomorrow; Baked potatoes and coleslaw.

Considering next weeks, casserole dishes work well left in the oven as people come in and easy to prepare. Same as pasta easy to prepare. Seems to be heavy on the poultry.

I had a major cooking day today!

Adam had enrolment day at college and asked me to make some cupcakes for some of the people he works with so I made carrot and orange cakes with an orange and mascarpone topping. Mmmmmm. I did take a photo but it wasn't that good and I haven't uploaded it yet....

Then I got cracking on a beef vindaloo, samosas (home made pastry and all!), pea and paneer curry and naan breads (not home made tonight).

I made it before I went to work and when I got there realised I reeked of garlic and onions!!!!

hmm i eat so unhealthy compared to all you

well i was in work again today 12.45 until 9.45pm so dinner was a turkey sandwich and bag of crisp and for tea i had fried rice chips and curry and salt and pepper chicken from the chinese next door

tomorrow will be just as unhealthy as im working 10.15am till 9.45pm and have no food in so its extremly likely to be some form of take away again unless i have time to nip to the shop but then again it will have to be something that can be microwaved or something that doesnt need cooking
