Chocolate crunch recipe

Does anyone have a chocolate crunch recipe that they have actually made?

I know there are loads on the web, but I was hoping one of you guys have one that you use yourselves hopefully it'll be like the chocolate crunch we used to have in school dinners!

I have a craving for some - with pink custard

I posted this on over50s too, but no joy there so far - hope someone here might be able to help!

The best chocolate crunch is to melt mars bars then add the cornflakes or rice crispies till they are covered, just play the quantities by ear....then refrigerate to set!

I make the krispie cake and I make it with butter, golden syrup, and sometimes marshmallows all melted together then add your krispies or cornflakes. Its yummy.

Is it an over 50's thing then Azz ? The few times I stayed to school dinners I never remember having it and my Mum never made it for me, I must of been unlucky. I remember pink custard though on sponge pudding. Mmmmm

Sorry, no recipe here!

But after reading all these recipes I now have a notion for Mars Rice Krispie cake and the likes.

You have to remember to make it SO hard you can't get your spoon through it though! I got it in primary school dinners, high school dinners, and then when I got to halls of residence, there it was again!

A friend of mine introduced me to a "Mars"crunch

Melt two Mars Bars in a Bain Marie, add a couple of good tablespoons of golden syrup, hand full of chopped nuts, diced dates(last two optional)

Then add rice krispies until all the mix is used up. Put onto a baking tray & level out. Then melt a large bar of milk chocolate in a Bain Marie & more over the baking tray. allow to cool but not fully set & then cut up into whatever size you want & allow to cool totally, remove from baking tray & put into an airtight box.

You can use a microwave to melt the Mars Bars & chocolate.

You can also add mini marshmallows, chocolate chips in fact any thing you like
