Our GR will swim all year round - the sea can be crashing over him and he isn't bothered at all. It bothers me as the waves can be enormous but the cold doesn't seem to phase him at all and he stays wet until we get home. Having a double coat seems to keep him warm - he just takes forever to dry.

The only way I can keep him out of the sea is to walk him in the woods - but then he swims in the ponds and stream instead.

This photo was taken on Sunday

Teagan went swimming today
She waded right in - water rushing past her, freezing cold, windy, raining.....she had a brilliant time
She wasn't cold, even to the touch!
She ran around like a lunatic after, and I towel dried her when we got home!

Ralph swims whether i want him too our not Even when the river is flowing scarily fast...i still can't stop him, and gave in trying a while ago
Florrie is different..she doesn't even like the grass when its frosty cold!
I would say Steve that if he seems happy with it..then he should be fine!

Can only echo the others really

My two will swim in all weathers, there's a local lake they can swim in and I've been up there a lot with them over the years and even when there's been a thin cover of ice on the top that they've broken to get in, they'll still swim
