Toby, High above the Clouds (Parson Russell Terrier)

On Toby's recent holiday to the Lake District, he experienced a cloud inversion (cloudy at ground level but lovely and sunny high above), it was quite spectacular. Here's a couple of pics of him wondering what strange land he had found himself in.....

Up on the Tilberthwaite Fells, that's the Langdale Pikes in the background peeping out of the clouds, we are just short of 2,000 feet by we got out of the cloud





This is what it was like down below...freezing fog and mist, brrrrrrrrr

How eirie that looks. We were in a similar situation in Norway, beautiful.

Thanks Vicki and Nip, you both thought the same as us, it was quite something wandering along in the mist, then all of a sudden the lcouds cleared and we were surrounded by mountains

Wow!
Beautiful pics. We had lots of days like this when we were in canada last month, beautiful in the sunshine but brrrrrr in that cloud!
