Just off the phone to Harrods.

They have Lhasa Apsos, Chihuahuas and Pugs. No home checks and pups cannot be returned.

They said the RSPCA check on them but she couldn't tell me how often. For all the good they'll do anyway.

Phoned the RSPCA cruelty line, the guy said he'll have an officer sent out to inspect the premesis.

They also sell cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and rats and apparently the turnover is very good. Aye, I bet it is. Money-hungry or what.

its so heavy I am waiting for half an hour to see if it eases, I have a few thoughts, please have a look and see what you think:

STOP HARRODS SELLING LIVESTOCK

It is a shocking fact that Harrods Department store In Knightsbridge , London is selling animals in store.
Puppies , kittens and other small animals can be picked up there with as little preparation or thought as buying a packet of crisps.
TODAY these animals are in pens in the store, not an environment where any animal should be. Particularly puppies, whose early socialisation and contact can affect them for the rest of their life.

This must be stopped!

Great....get that up and running

You could also say something about no home checks and pups cannot be returned. Oh and mention the issues with rescue dogs and impulse buying making the situation worse.

Just been back onto the Mirror because no one rang me back. Guy said someone will ring sometime after 3, that's when the reportes check in.
Just got some news, nothing to do with this. My son is in respite this weekend, and he has been taken to hospital with a swollen leg. This has happened before but I gues they have to cover themselves.
So I have to nip up to Whiston hospital now. Got OH's works do tonight and all. The one day in the year that we have a good knees up....Oh well Que sera eh

How about The Dog's Trust. They are shut until Monday but do have a press office.

Does writing this mean I could be classified as a journalist..

Might be interesting to see what they say.

Good input from you Elaine. I wanted to keep it short and snappy, otherwise people don't read. Are there figures for the amount of homeless dogs destroyed, might give food for thought...

Its still stair-rods here, my dogs look so fed up...
