GAL volunteers and hounds will be holding an Awareness Day at Pets at Home, Hamilton on Saturday 21.7.12. Events like these are a great way of introducing the public to dogs they’ve only ever seen at the race track. Many people think that greyhounds need to be walked for miles on end and others don’t realise how affectionate, quiet and gentle they are. For whatever reason a lot of people still don’t consider them when they think about getting a family pet, let’s show them what they’re missing.

If you would like to come along and help dispel some myths and show off your hound/s we’ll be at the store on Saturday 21st July between 11-4pm. The address is: Pets at Home, Unit 6 Hamilton Palace Retail Park, Palace Grounds Road, ML3 6AD.
