Barbados would drive you crackers Eileen, there is no understanding of 'now' things are done slowly, not at all, or with great reluctance, and they NEVER use their common sense and do things because they need doing, they only do things if someone asks them to.
Example. Was the morning of ex-OH daughter's wedding, we were looking down at the part of the beach where daughter was getting married in 2 hours, watched in horror as some of the staff erected a badminton net. OH hurtled down there like a cannonball, it took nearly the next 2 hours to get that net taken down, despite the fact that everyone in the place knew she was getting married on that particular piece of beach at that time. I thought he was going to explode, he was bright red in the face and could barely breathe with the stress of it all!!!
Example 2 At every breakfast table there was a dish with different teabags in, as the week went on all the PG teabags were taken, they never at any point replaced the PG teabags, we were left with the fruit or herbal teabags, it was almost a stand up fight to get more PG teabags for the 2nd week

Yep that will be fine, glad I don't have to recount the trip to the airport for the return flight in a bus (which arrived an hour late) where the clutch was going and we all had to lean forward and will it up the hills, and cheered when the airport appeared on the horizon
Negril in Jamaica is totally amazing though

Its gorgeous and the staff are so lovely and nothings too much trouble. You lie on the beach and you have a flag you put it the sand and someone comes to you for your order, and eventually once they know what you want they bring it anyway while they're passing. So after that, Barbados was one heck of a letdown
