here is where you get scared with the amount of icons on my desktop - in fairness though i use it for work and my travel system uses 10 of those programs alone !!

i cant post the other as its so untidy it was an enormous piccy file which dogweb wont accept !! LOL

Actually it depends what programmes you have and that you use regularly ... I can't see the point in being tidy for the sake of it Mine has shortcuts that could go ....but I think I may just add several more and then post another picture of it

wow Kaz I love all your book shelves and books!

Mel, I just prefer to keep mine in the menu's where you click on start...It all comes from when I had a slow computer and the less desktop and start up items the less resources it takes up and it has kinda stuck with me

Most people have the programes in the menu's and on the desktop and there is no need!

Add icons till your hearts content it's your puter not mine...lol...I'm just glad we don't have to share cuz I would tidy them up...hehehe
