Melissa **update**

I emailed the rescue Kennels asking how Melissa was because I couldn't find her picture on their website and I feared the worst here is their reply.....
Melissa Taken Feb this Year

Hi Karen
Melissa is doing well, we have just updated our pictures of her, as she has put on weight. She had to have her two top 'fangs' out, as they were exposed to the nerves, and the vet said would have been very painful, bless her, also we have had specialist treatment for her poorly ears, which are 100 per cent better. Finally, she has now been spayed and fully vaccinated. She is much better now with other dogs, and has developed a strong bond with me. She is a hit with all my volunteers, and loves Sundays, as we hold an open morning, and lots of public come through
the gates to view the dogs, so she gets lots of attention
You are more than welcome to come and see her if you are ever out this way.
I will let you know when the 'perfect home' comes along
Regards
Sandy McCluskey

she looks much happier now
this is what it says on the web site

Melissa came to us in quite a sorry state, she was very thin and desperately sad. However since being at the kennels in a caring environment she has put on weight and looks so much healthier now.
Melissa adores people and enjoys a bit of fuss and attention but would much prefer to be the only pet as she doesn't like other dogs. Melissa didn't know much kindness before she came to us but will repay your love for the rest of her life if you are willing to give her a chance. Why not come and meet this lovely girl?

Aaaww thanks for the update....I think about her often .
If only I were allowed another dog . I ask the OH every day in the hope that he will give in eventually!

Well done to the rescue, she looks soooo much better - now she just needs that special home wish it could be mine...
