I agree Anne starting with the Breed Council its not exactly ideal when somebody with a position like David Levy speaks to these papers and adds fuel to the fire imo.

Regardless of what I think of him he is contributing just by speaking to them, why not go and tell the papers of the wonderful owners and the majority of responsible Stafford owners rather than give a worse impression of the minority? Surely somebody in his position should be promoting the good within the breed rather than further highlighting the bad?

Sad thing is its not the first time he has done something like this and really whatever he said in his position HE SHOULD KNOW BETTER!. The problem is when people who dont know anything about Staffords read this then see people from Breed Clubs & Councils speaking to the paper they assume what is written must be true as subconsciously they assume that these people have reviewed the article before it is put out and are happy with the content. If people are to complain to the paper, which I will, I also think that the people who have spoken out should be complanied about too afterall they have been in the game long enough to know what they should & should not do.

I would like to add that, from my observations, the majority of people who appear to own these potential little monsters come from sink estates, are bullet headed, tattooed from head to toe, smothered in cheap costume jewellery and wearing Tommy Hilfiger or Nike gear (usually nicked or knock-offs).

The "Staffies" in many instances are very much a fashion accessory for that type of person - they also have other uses. They tend to scare off bailiffs, RSPCA officers, police officers and social workers - and if one is weak of mind and basically a coward, "Staffies" tend to be able to more than compensate for those weaknesses.

and does this 'person' actually really KNOW a stafford ?? i doubt it !

they are welcome to my house anytime and will prove them wrong about council estate people on every count !!!
