Ben "chilling out" in the spa after his swim

Today was our 1st Hydrotherapy session. The place is teally nice and the staff are excelent, its at Portlethen so about a 2and half hour round trip for us. We got shown round and Ben got to just wander about to find his feet (so to speak) then after about 20 minutes they put his wee life jacket on and let him get used to that.

Then he got to swim in the pool the first rtime was only 30 seconds and he was not really that keen itwas like he was terrified the girl explained that its because she has control so he can'tjust swim to side and jump out and the dog, any dog, not just Ben, usuallybut not always doesn't like that after his 30 seconds he was brought back to the ramp and the wee lamb was not impressed they let him stand on the ramp calm down and then off he went again the 2nd time he was a lot happier and the same proces only itwas a minutes swim then some rest then another swim, by now he was doing great (videos of the last 2 swims in the video section)

After that he gets the spa which he enjoyed





Then he got a shower with a massage then dried offand some treats and a bone. They think Hydro will help strengthen the muscles so in time his back will stop arching and he will walk much better than at the minute but that less than 4 weeks after surgery he is doing great

So we are back on Wednesday and then again Saturday

glad it went so well, he looks like hes loving the attention in his spa, bet the people at the spa get really soppy over ben when the see more and more of him, x

off to see if I can get the vid to work now. x

He'll love it after a while hun, reah was like that but in the end she loved it.

Ben looks so very very happy, Lynne, what a fighting spirit he has. Bet you never thought a few weeks ago that you would see Ben in the water. Bet he can't wait until he goes back. Bless him.

Oh just look at Ben he's loving it, well who wouldn't with all those lovely hands all over him

It might take a little time but I'm sure the hydrotherepy will make a big difference and as I've said before it's heartwarming to see him looking so happy after all he's been through

Bless him - it took Tassle a few gos to get used to it, but she LOVES it now and it has helped SO much.

I hope Ben reaps the benifit soon

Bruno went to hydro and was like that the first two or 3 times but soon settled.

Itmade a big difference to his muscles in his back end so am sure you will notice the difference after a few sessoins.
