They are very reasonable! It would depend on a lot of things..natural talent, balance etc..

Have you got a Bebo page?? Have about 3 albums of pics from Harelaw on it! LOL..
Have sent you a couple of links..
Thanks, I have been on the site before when I was considering going trekking next time my sister visits me

Unfortunately I don't have a Bebo page, as on dial-up, there is just no point. Thanks anyway.

Thanks Suze. I have heard there are a lot of horses being surrendered to rescue now, as people are struggling to afford to keep them

We have a heavy horse, quite an unusual breed though, she's a noriker (austrian draught horse) and a small but heavy cob. I have to say I'm a fan of these sensible types, I don't want to go out and be scared by sometime prancy on tthe roads.
The worst thing about the heavy breeds is the cost of everything, we ended up getting a treeless saddle for Bumble because she is so wide it was going to cost a fortune to get traditional saddle.

Bumble the noriker (15.3 hands)

Bournville the cob (14.3 hands)

Cheers Louise. I am not looking to actually buy a horse for another 12-18 months really (as I have very limited time with a one year old baby and four dogs as well as lambing time) but will check out the ads now so it gives me an idea of what is about and how much etc.

WHy not go for a part share or part loan at the moment??

That will give you some experience in the meantime to get you ready for having your own..
