So sorry Phil, like Tori I haven't been on in a long time and to see this shocked me. I am so sorry for your loss and with your posts nodded my head, I still look for Scratch or think of him and then remember he has gone.

Thanks folks - the last comments are much appreciated.

Skye is getting a holiday out of it (off to see his little cousins Fudge and Buttons) so he'll be happy as I don't want to put him into the kennels without Fingal as they've always shared.

I know individual breeds have specific characteristics, but it's nothing short of 'spooky' how much (good and bad) young Mij is turning into Fingal.
