I was so pleased when I logged on to read my emails & heard she is happier. May she go from strength to strength.

Hi all. Wicca is doing quite well although progress is very slow. She has been swimming every three days since dec 13& as she so far has been ok we hope to take it up to every other day. She has intensive physio weekly & exercises 3xdaily. She walks well at slow speed but is obviously lame at anything faster, it has now been 51/2mths since her accident & the physio reckons it will be another 6mths or so before she can return to anything near her previous exercise level thats if everything keeps progressing ok.
thanks for all your support its much appreciated.

What a long slow process - but you must be feeling so much more positive now you can see real progress, i know there were times when you really despaired.

Hopefully it'll get even easier in the spring - hopefully you'll be able to find outside places where you can take her swimming every day - Hoki spent a lot of time in the river Tweed when she was recouperating from her cruciate lig op.

Hi all,
Wicca is still doing ok, she is now swimming every other day & able to walk for 1/2hr twice daily. we are allowed to bring in her normal trotting gait now but she is obviously lame although it doesn't appear to be painful just because the tendon has is now shorter than before. The physio has been brilliant but now we are at the point of when do we consider the tendon is strong enough to let her off the lead ( bit scared ) Have now decided with the physio to take her across the downs daily & allow a bit more freedom on a flexi lead but even this can be nerve racking. Did think it might be nice if the specialist saw her but as he didn't seem that interested in her rehab i feel i can't be bothered either !Keep fingers crossed for us, the 'take the lead off date' has been set for March !!!
