Willow – 9 week old female Italian Greyhound cross Whippet

Willow is a 9 week old Italian Greyhound cross Whippet who’s owners contacted us out of desperation because unfortunately the lady was suffering with post natal depression symptoms since having Willow which is something she had years ago with her child, this is not uncommon sadly despite it sounding hard to believe.

Willow has started her vaccinations and will be wormed/flead and micro-chipped in due course. When old enough (5/6 months) it is mandatory that she is spayed and we will cover the cost. What can we say about Willow, the pictures say it all! She is absolutely beautiful and just a typical puppy.


She has done well with her toilet training (may still have accidents for some months) and is used to wearing a collar and has been introduced to the lead. She is being fostered with several other small dogs and she can be rehomed to any type of household. All existing pets ideally should be neutered and vaccinated. A puppy really is for life and very demanding; you cannot work full time and raise a puppy.



They teeth for many months which mean they need to chew and need copious amounts of exercise; attention and kind reward based training. You must be 100% certain a puppy is right for you as they can be hard work! We strongly advise anyone getting a puppy to attend puppy classes through your vet/local dog club which are inexpensive; this will help socialise and train not only the puppy but the owner too!

Me and Ozzie have a soft spot for whippets /I greyhounds..

Poor girl - she should only have been in her home for what - a week? How sad.

My friend is desperate for 2 italian greyhounds its her dream. They recently had to have their brindle staffy x put to sleep at 14yrs old end of last year. Thought I d send her the pics as a rbindle italian x ? Her boyfriend is still grieving for Skinsy but she has sent him the pics to see what he says

I am sad to announce for my friend but not for Willow that the RSPCA have stopped taking enquiries for her as they have been inundated
