How do you pronounce dachshund?

All these years I have never really known how you pronounce (or spell for that matter) dachshund..

Is it
Dash-und
Dash-ound
Dax-und

Or other?!
I normally say daxie!

Sorry for sounding like an idiot, just thought I might as well find out some time!

I say Dax - hund. Don`t know if that`s right though.

I say Dax-und, more or less. the 'u' is kind of a cross between an E and a U. I don't think you need to pronounce the H.
