Happy 16th Birthday my Precious Lucy x

Today is my beautiful Lucy's 16th birthday, she went to the bridge on 15th April this year and the pain is still so so raw. How I wish she was still here with me, especially today, my heart is totally broken, a part of me went with her that day and my life will never be the same again. Not a day/minute goes past that I dont think of her, people keep telling me that time is a great healer, not too sure about that. Still cant bring myself to put her bowls or collar and lead away, just too painful.

I miss her so so much its sometimes just unbearable.

We are going to let some flying lanterns off later this evening to celebrate her birthday.

Just want to thank everyone on here yet again for all your wonderful support and help these past few dreadful months, especially a certain person, you know who your are, could not of got through this without you, and you are still grieveing the loss of your Lulu too.

Want to send big hugs to everyone who has lost a much loved companion.

Here is a small tribute to my precious baby, I hope you are having a great birthday with all your new friends at the bridge, running around like you used to. I will love and miss you forever. Till we meet again angel. xxxxxxx

It is always a very sad time on these special days... remember all the good times and just think of her running free with all her mates at the bridge... thinking of you. hugs xx

Aww *hug*. It does indeed, but you get stronger over time - it's like your pain threshold changes. Try to think of all the good times and all the love you gave her and how happy you made her... and that she wouldn't want you to be upset 'because of her' (passing).

That's how I dealt with my brother passing. It helps a lot. xx

Hugs to you to Azz, so sorry to hear about your brother.

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts, being on this forum has really helped me, dont know how I would of got through those first gut wrenching days/weeks without all the help and support I received from the wonderful caring people on here.

I know my Lucy is still with me I can almost 'feel' her sometimes and I have definitely received some very comforting 'signs' from her, that keeps me going. xx
