Nuts, I thought I could only choose one, so clicked on Recommendation.

I would go by recommendation first, but would also look in the local paper, and the vets.

I looked online to find my trainer. But im lazy so i look online for EVERYTHING lol.

However we did get an ad in our 'andover weekly' paper. And if i'd noticed it before I probably would have phoned them

I clicked on recommendation, but problem is, one person may think a dog trainer is fab, but that trainer could be not very good at all.

I'd suggest to anyone to try www.apdt.co.uk because it is for pet dog trainers and have a member in most areas; also they have a "kind, fair and effective" policy

I ticked "recommendation" and "other", the latter to cover going through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers to find a trainer who agrees to their code of conduct (see Wysiwyg's link)
