have you ever heard of the TV series "supernatural" clo? i didn't think it'd be my kind of thing (not into the whole twilight thing) but iv been hooked since the first episode, and there have been books brought out that are based on the tv series. and if they are an accurate depiction, i would highly recommend them

I read Dead Simple by Peter James a while back, now working my way through the rest of the series, you just think you know where its going and it takes a twist.

Also Terry Goodkinds Wizards First Rule series is fantastic.

Carl Hiassen, Chris Brookmyre and Christopher Moore are all a bit quirky , different styles but great to read.

Enjoyed the earlier Pratchett discworlds better

Each to their own, I found these some of the worst books I've had the misfortune to pick up My mum and brother love them, I gave up torturing myself after 5 books.
