I would choose frozen raw chicken wings over commercial supermarket smoked fish, because of the colouring and salt, although it is okay for very occasional emergency use.

Something for the future:
I always keep several tins of pilchards in the house against the occasion that we run out of dog food. They are cheap as muck, cooked so that any bones can safely be eaten by humans (dogs no problem), and mixed in with whole wheat fusili or brown rice, also cheap, make a great dinner. Mine are particularly fond of the ones in tomato sauce.

But yeah: any fish you can eat, apart from the battered and fried stuff, is fine for dogs, but as Bettysmum says look out for salt!
