Thanks Phil. I can't believe Hannah will already be going to High School! Where does the time go?!

It is a pretty special (and fast disappearing) way of life and I do love it most of the time too Berger, although there are times when I really miss my family. I have made some great friends up here though too, so I am very lucky.

Ben loves coming out with me He used to be such a daddy's boy, helping around the farm, but he prefers to be out with me at the moment - apart from when he gets to go with dad in the tractor, which he loves

Thanks Sarah. The road is open again now and it is much quicker than the track, but at least the track is always there if we fancy the most scenic route

The road outside our place was dug up last week, kangos going all day put my teeth on edge. Despite warning triangles telling of road works and traffic lights I frequently heard a screech of brakes when it took the driver by surprise doh!

I've found Sam to be like that at the moment. He would never do anything with me if Rob was around but now he is wanting to come with me a lot. He's very good company now, and I think I'll miss him in September when he starts school properly!
