I have had similar problems with friends of mine, they would ask advice, I would give it and then they would ignore my advice. Now I dont give advice to anyone unless they have proven from past experience that they are willing to listen and take my advice. The friends who dont take it, if they come to me and ask I tell them not to bother, I am not interested because they dont listen, that usually makes them go away and have a think about it

My advice to anyone who is sick of giving advice to people who ask for advise and then dont listen, is NOT TO GIVE ADVICE!

let them figure it out for themselves, if they are geuinely interested in finding out about a subject they will go and do their own research on whatever they are asking about, if they just want someone to give them the answers on a plate then they are not worthy of your advice.

Anything I want to know, I do research on the subject, read everything I can find on the matter, and then I make up my own mind, if someone is so lazy they cant be bothered to do that then they dont deserve to get any answers IMO

I have a cousin and she was always coming to my mum for advice about different things, my mum was blunt and to the point and she would say "do you really want to know what I think of/ would do?" she used to say yes, then when my mum told her she would take the huff and walk out. Some people just want to here what they want.
