Yes I've been, too bloody hot but it was July.

Stayed in Hamet, the resorts out there have everything on them you need, the beaches had lots of Jelly fish on though so its better round the pool.

The medina's (markets) are fantastic with lots of bartering. If you go pick some whiskey up in duty free on the way in, they love whiskey and you can swap it for anything in the market. You can only drink alcohol in your resort though as it was illlegal when I went and the government beer they sell is like pee!

Candie - You should think about going somewhere like Teneriefe, as it's usually quite warm at this time of year!

Wish I could go somewhere!!

Went during the 60's but expect it is very changed now. It is north Africa just across from Spain so I would think the weather would not be that warm just now but it can be not so warm in the Canary Islands too. When I when there the Canary's in January it was between 16 and 18, so nice to walk about but not bathing weather. Think you are better going for a week to look around and forget the sun tan then if it is nice you have a bonus. A winter holiday is good what ever you do, so enjoy, sun is not necessary to enjoy a trip to somewhere new.
