Goodnight my lovely dementia dog,Buster,

Our brave Buster left for Rainbow Bridge this morning to join his sister Lulu who we lost last year.

We had a lovely few hours before the vet came
I sat and talked to him and told him how much we loved him and that we would miss him so much
I told him about Rainbow Bridge and how he would have many friends and no pain .
Our lovely vet Michelle who has tried so hard to help him ,came out and was surprised at how he had deteriorated since she last saw him.

His passing was SO peaceful I put my arms round him and stroked his head-it was really strange as -since he developed dementia he would NOT let you hold him like that.

I stuck a photo onto the T.V of him and Lulu,so that would be what he saw last

He just fell asleep with his head on my knee.

Even though it was so perfect a passing-if thats possible I feel lost and lonely without him .
He was such a gentle boy, since we adopted him when he was 12 weeks old-we were his third home!!

The dementia slowly changed him and its heartbreaking to watch the dog you have loved for so long disappear.
Thank you all for your support and hugs
Please stay with me as its only just sinking in that he has gone.

Goodnight our brave boy
Hope Lulu has welcomed you and that you now remember who she is as you forgot that when the dementia came.
God bless
Maureen

((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to you for being so very brave and holding him so gently till he slipped away, he needed you there, and I'm sure his passing was as perfect as it could have been with all the love you have for him going along with him. Bless your heart, I know how you feel, but now he's happy again with Lulu as I'm sure she was there to whisk him away to meet up with her new friends at Rainbow.

Run free now sweet little man, mummy misses you very much.xxxx

A new star shines down brightly from Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so glad that his passing was so peaceful - he was ready, bless him.

Night, night Buster. Have fun while you wait at the Bridge xxxx
