The fun fabulous versitile American Pit Bull Terrier

Just got back from a long day of showing with a passle of pitties and I just had to gush about how wonderful they were.

It was a UKC trial hosted by a local and national pit bull terrier clubs so there were over 100 pits there today, along with probably two dozen other breeds. Not a SINGLE dog fight. Not one single incident. All those pitbulls in one place and some would have you believe it would be a blood bath.

I took special joy in watching the junior handlers. Thats right, children showing pitbulls! The Horror!

And such a versitile working breed. They can strut their stuff in the conformation ring, then head on over to the weight pull arena, followed by Obedience and Rally-O. In queue the pit owners all talking about the agility trial this weekend. Pits can do it all. They are truly soft lovely dogs and its a shame they've been banned in the UK.

Personally, I think they are cracking dogs.

For me, it's the humans that are the problem, never the dogs......

Pleased you had a great time - any photos?
