We're having our hall/landing plastered on Monday, then I have to decide what colour to paint it, I've sat looking at paint charts for weeks but still can't decide. I too am a bit of a neutral colour lover, but must say that does look nice. My hall is quite dark, so I have to go for a lighter colour.

Blimey, you've done a good job there!

I like over-the-top colours - our dining room is dark, chocolatey brown. It looked like molten dairy milk when it was wet, but it dried like bournville - yummy!!!

I love the top colour with that border but I'm sorry I'm not too keen on the bottom stripey stuff. But it is very well done, hell you even used masking tape! You want to see my cornices!

How about a primrosey yellow? I really like warm yellow for halls since we moved here - the last owners had done the hall, stairs and landing in it, andit works a treat. Really sunny and welcoming

Funnily enough that is a colour I keep coming back to with red accessories (been reading too many paint charts) I want white paint work too, we're having a new bannister put in as many years ago OH decided to remove ours, I've fallen down the stairs twice and the kids trip constantly.
