Terriers at play?

Is it normal for Terriers to play quite roughly?

Yesterday Archie was playing with a lovely PRT in the park, really sweet boy and they were both definitely having fun, no aggression. The PRT pinned Archie and grabbed his neck in his mouth, I was and Archie was too but I really don't think it was aggression.... is this normal? The PRT's owner said it was pretty normal for terriers to do this when playing, is she right?

I don't think it's just terriers hehe
When Teagan and Saffy (Roxy's boxer) play, they lay on the floor with each others neck in their mouth!
Saffy also chews on Teagans lips! lol

I'm sure I read somewhere that 'mouthing' the neck is a sign of dominance/submissive (depending which dog you are - one mouthing, or one being mouthed!)

Very normal . It's the noise they make when they're playing, like they're killing eachother

Archie is not too vocal yet.... he's big on body language, you should have seen him yesterday after our walk, we walked past the pub next to the park and there was a very beautiful vizla bitch there with her owner... they both really wanted to play, but obviously couldn't on the pavement outside the pub Archie kept bowing, and while bowing he would lift one paw up towards her... everyone outside the pub thought it was so cute!
