Stupid Stupid Man!

Hi all,
We are totally devastated we have lost our border terrier,we had a man come around to fix the fencing at the bottom of our garden and he hadn't shut the gate properly, our scruff saw a cat and decided to chase it up the street, before we could call him back a car hit him and killed him instantly
The kids are heartbroken and we are i think all in shock. Our home is going to feel so empty without him here.
I am so angry with the bloke who fixed the fence, but i am also blaming myself for not checking the gate,if only...........
Sal

So sorry Sal, you and your family must be devastated The same thing happened to one of my sisters dogs a few months ago - a man cutting down their trees left the gate open and the conservatory door blew open and Jed got out and ran off and was hit by a car in the village and killed instantly

Feel so sorry for your loss and for your pain, it is natural to say 'if only' but life is not like that and you are in no way to blame. It is good he did not suffer and that is something you should hold on to, even if his sudden death has left you and the family in a state of shock. The pain will easy but not just yet, hug each other and you will come through with something good from this awful loss.
