Recommendations for Home Cinema Speakers

Right folks,

We have our brand new 40" LCD tele and OH is looking for compatible speakers. All we want are surround sound speakers with sub woofer, remote control and integrated amplifier. OH has been digging around the net but can't find what he's looking for. We also don't have a large room so don't want something the size of a bus! Any recommendations would be extremely welcome.

We have a panasonic system...SA HT 520. It comes with a DVD player though so might not be what you are looking for. We bought ours as Phil has the same....

Thanks Colin, OH wants to know if it comes with surround sound speakers and subwoofer.

We've got the Phillips one, but it's quite old now so they probably don't do it anymore, but I like it coz the 5 little speakers are nice and small and square and aren't obtrusive dotted around the room, and then there's the big box thingy that sits next to the telly! Like Fudgeley though, ours is with the DVD and we don't want to change that, there's no need, it works! Good luck in your hunt Jackie, but I can't complain with Phillips, i.e. we haven't managed to break it yet and it must be about 6 years old now!

No it doesn't, but then again I don't like Sony speakers so that wasn't a problem for me.
