It's better to buy tick removers, not very expensive, less likely to leave the head in or to squeeze the tick so it regurgitates.

There's meant to be quite a few around the New Forest, where I love to walk. Thankfully though, I don't know anyone who has been affected.

Fingers crossed.

I do know of a friend's wife who was breast feeding her baby and had a tick attach itself to her nipple, though

As bad at attaching to the cleavage, methinks!
