As Mel has said, the dog your cousin has purchased is not a Malamute. It is most likely a Malamute/Sibe cross (or one of the parents is a cross). Did she receive KC registration documents (you mention she wanted to show, so I assume she would have only bought a KC registered pup). If this is the case then I would take it up with the breeder and request DNA testing. Where did she come across the pup? Was it in the free ads? A couple have been placed recently that advertise blue eyed Malamutes
