I use Paul Mitchell products from my hairdresser. There's one that is for greasy hair and it's great. It doesn't have a horrible build up either but can only be used once or twice a week.

Also tell him that when he washes his hair, don't over work the scalp. Just use gentle movements as vigorous washing can stimulate and oil glands.

I'm afraid when I was at that stage I used to use Fairy Liquid every now and again - it sure does strip the grease out, but also takes all the natural oil too - mind you, I was a bit daft at 16, and all I wanted was non-greasy hair.
Good luck in your quest hon - can't recommend anything as my hair is dry now.....

Lol @ Vicki, I used to do that too!!!!

You definitely DON'T want a moisturising shampoo, but I found that TreSeme (sp???) shampoo in the black bottle (and it's very cheap from Wilko's!!!) it's clear so not moisturising and strips the hair of grease very well - Dave uses it! It leaves it squeaky clean and that's what he wants.

Glad I'm not the only one then
Mum's Fairy Liquid was also a godsend when payday wasn't for a couple of days and hair looked like it was covered in chip fat
