Afternoon all,

Well my car is silent again .... the knocking has been fixed so I'm a happy bunny Lots of washing on the line so more ironing later for me. I walked the boys along the River Wey towpath with a neighbour and his dog. All fine until we met 4 loose jack russels who caused havoc. They all had muzzles on but Rucksack wasn't to know that and he as expected went in to a mini meltdown Other than that episode though it was nice walk and perfect weather for it.

Pat - I fear you will jut have to get use to the mess and disruption until your family leave Is it still as hot?
Lynn - By 'going-slow' on the packing front will probably just stress you out nearer the time of the move 'cos me thinks that you are already on the roller coaster and it won't stop until it reaches Upwell (((hugs)))
Afternoon Nippy, Mini and Harvey I hope you are all enjoying your day.
Moyra - (((hugs))) as I think you need them. Don't panic though 'cos its possible you just have a slightly raised 'marker' in your blood and your medication needs to be altered. Receptionists aren't allowed to hand out test results so hence you being called in. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Eileen - I think your little dog would love a sister (?) to play with and GR are adorable dogs. I'll pop in asap to see what it happening.

Off to cut the front grass now .... what is left of it after the brown patches the dog wee has produced

See you all later.

Good afternoon one & all - well I finally managed to pack and am now happily sat in the airport lounge with a nice glass of wine and some nibbles.

Was so strange leaving Marco for the first time, he realised all morning that something odd was happening and for a while before we left he just wouldn't look at me, he did come over for cuddles but kept his head down, was strange. He will be fine with my son, I know they'll have a great time together so am happy about that.

The hotels I'm staying in both have free wifi so I'll keep nipping in to see how everyone is doing.

Hi,
Finally got a call back from the dog warden,he hadn't heard anything about the Golden Retreiver He rang the police himself to find out and the officers involved were off duty and the guy he was talking to didn't know what the situation with the dog was.So I'm none the wiser, presume the owners must have contacted the police last night and they have been reunited Left my number and the warden promised to let me know if he hears any news.
So it seems its all good and I can settle myself with the one dog household again!!Going to take Lacey and Leah to the park, will catch up later xx

Grass is cut but the ironing hasn't been started yet . I'm so hot after doing the grass that I thought a quick sit down with a cold drink was in order.

Cacoll - Have a fantastic time and I look forward to hearing how you get on.

Eileen - Oh and there was me thinking we'd be seeing photos of a new family member. As you say the dogs owners have probably reclaimed him which is hopefully for the better

See you all later.

Hope all is well on the GR front Eileen and that he has been claimed quickly.
Lynn, you're going to have to get your head down and just go for it, otherwise as Jenny says you will be triple stressed doing everything 24/7, 2 days before you're due to move.
Just back from the bone run. Did a little better in the car today, actually overtook things and found myself going at 60 a few times so I am relaxing a little. Red light came on for lpg halfway home on the motorway, as I don't know how long I've got with this one I came off and came home on the A roads, I have a great fear of the car coming to a halt
I am told they switch over automatically to petrol if the lpg goes off, but I need concrete anecdotal trustworthy evidence before I commit myself in such a way
Really sunny and warm here this afternoon, this morning wasn't so great, hoping the weather is on a turn for the better.
Need to bag and freeze the bones and then I have some more ironing to do, just my beddding, so today I will iron pillowcases and stop, then tomorrow the fitted bottom sheet and the top sheet (duvets get to warm for me so I have layers lol)
Cacoll have a great time, Marco will be fine and if it is a regular thing you having to go away and leave him then it is best he gets familiar with it early on and it will become part of his life. You'll miss him far more than he will you, as your son will be taking him out and he'll be at home.
Just think hot and cold running room service, no tidying or cooking to do. Heaven. Plus of course you get to see the racing.
Glad the knocking has stopped Jenny, so now you are worry free on that front. If you've got ironing anyway, I'll pop my pillowcases in the pile, you won't even notice I promise you, trust me Walk sounds great, despite the JR's trying to ruin it, I love walking along the river or even in it, so much to see this time of year. Have you tried warm water with washing up liquid in on the bits where the boys have 'been' its supposed to neutralise it. No idea if it works, but I have heard this a few times now.
Harvey, are you in Suffolk or Europe
Helena, today will be your day off from the world, have a great time with your friends and a good laugh, because thats what you need

I saw your update Eileen, my experience with this type of situation is that the right hand never ever knows what the left is doing. In fact they will say they haven't got such a dog in there, you go and check, and lo and behold there is the dog, put down as a totally different breed by 'knowledgeable' people. I have seen blue dobermanns become weimaraners or 'crosses', you have to have experienced it to believe it.
'Your' Goldie could well be a lab x by now

Can believe that TW.He defo didn't end up in the local pound anyway, warden never heard tell of him.So whether he's been placed somewhere else or is at home, for now remains a mystery Really looked like a much loved dog,am pretty sure he's been collected by now, with a good telling off I hope.Doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened.Amazing how quickly they can get under your skin, worried about that dude half the night!!Anyway, moving on...

Hi everyone, just got back from the docs. He tells me my cholesterol has gone up again so he is going to change my tablet on that and I said does that mean you can do something about the chronic cramps I have been getting because that was down to the statins, he said yes and they are probably responsible for my being swimmy when I put my head down or try to stand up. He is also going to take me off the furosemide as he doesn't think I need them any more and reduce my diabetes tablet from 3 to 2 a day in future so generally good news!
