Letters from Iwo Jima
That's it. Clint Eastwood has flipped. 134 mins of war film, in black-and-white, 132 minutes of it IN JAPANESE. No reason why there shouldn't be a film in Japanese, except that I understand only about 6 words (and one of these is "Hai!").
As a result, it was extremely difficult to follow this film, even with the subtitles (some of which flash past very quickly).
I got it as part of a "bargain package" with its companion film, "Flags of our Fathers", another Eastwood romp, which I haven't watched yet, but I wouldn't recommend it on its own, unless you're fluent in Japanese.
