I've rescued 8

chickens this time.
I did set out with 6 in mind, but somehow came back with 8.
Popped them in the coup to calm down and went to sort out names, so far I have Mable, Alice, Dorothy, Mildred, Georgie, and Annie just need two more.
Skye knows they are there and was sitting patiently, god love her she's happy again she has a flock to herd Oh! and Tornado Tess....take it all back she has herding skills too she's really good with them.
They somehow got the door pushed open and swamped Mr Sage (big Cockeral) he nearly fell over with the surge of female attention as they all ran to him they love him....tarts.
Who said rescue battery chickens know nothing........believe me they do Poor Cockeral

And Skye and Tess got to herd them...........such happy dogs now

Now just need to sort out Mr Rose...........he's not allowed near these as he'd be abit too frisky ...more frisky than they were with Mr Sage

Me too now. we got there at 11.45 and were told that they had been held up on the motorway. They arrived about 1pm, all trussled in crates, they apparently have to get in and out quick as the battery farmers are not in it to help them only for the money on sale. Poor sods were panting like mad and so boxed close they couldn't move, the lorry was chocer block full. They hadn't time to check them so I have red liced these since they got back and trimmed a couple of feet, they are snuggled down in the hay and all sound asleep tonite. Lets hope tomorrow they love thier taste of freedom
