Batten down the hatches!

It's started already (well ok it started weeks ago). It's only 10 past 5 and the fireworks are going off already

Apart from worrying about my pets, I genuinely do think that in the interests of public safety, fireworks should be available for organised displays only.

Has it started round your way yet too?

Hi Fluffy!

I totaly agree with you, I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone thinks it's ok to sell explosives to the general public

If you remember I'm not far from you and yes they've well and truly started.

Poor animals they must wonder what on earth is happening

How does the old fellar cope?

Hi fluffyBunny,
I have to agree with you here!!
Fireworks are SOOOO dangerous you just don`t know how Dangerous till its to late!! as i am speaking from experiance!!
I was so badly hurt they took photo`s of me 6 weeks after the accident, and use the pic in fireworks safety posters!
I have kept the photo`s to remind myself how silly i was and the school beside us use them too.
It`s the silly young and not so young peole that make Fireworks so dangerous, if they just had Controlled Displays there would be such a drop in accidents.
The time of the nurses, doctors and surgens wouldn`t be wasted on silly things like this!!!!!!
I don`t do Fireworks now!!!

Isn't it sad that you learned such a hard lesson, I've worked in a burns unit and seen the results of 'playing with fire'.

I hope that you are ok now?

Chris

OOOOOh trust me Chris,
Ive learned my lesson!!!
Ill never forget the feeling of Burned skin when i put my hands on my face, and when the surgen was picking bits of GUNPOWDER out of my eyes.
But to be honest no-one would have a clue anything happened ive healed up nicely!

I'm so pleased that you are ok now, it's frightening to think just how bad it could have been.

Such a hard way to learn though.
