when you go to bed does your dog have the run of the house or one room?

just thinking ahead, the place im going to (i got it yippee!) is a really perfect layout really, when i go to bed im going to put the dog into the kitchen, but i thought when she is older & house trained maybe i could let her have the kitchen & lounge? so she would have the cat for company?

what do you all do?

Well our pair come to bed with us! They have there own beds in our room and we close the door. My families dogs have the run of the kitchen but not the living room.

My boys stay in the kitchen... there is too much for them to investigate otherwise!

Mine have the utility room with a gate on the doorway. The entire floor is covered with doggy duvets and the cats sleep in there with them.

My two come up to bed with us and the bedroom door is closed, they have a bed on the floor which Pepper usually sleeps in but Gozo mostly sleeps with us.

Depends on the weather! If it`s hot all the doors are open, if it`s cold they`re not. Not a problem for us as none are puppies.

Gelly sleeps in the kitchen in her night time bed. The rest of the house has the alarm set, so she cant go there. Mind you, the nights when my son comes in late and the worse for wear and forgets to set the alarm and shut the interior doors(!!!), she always stays in the kitchen anyways.
