my bargain salt lamp(pics)

when i go mums i always admire her salt lamp,well i found a salt block only a tenner,mums was 25 and only small,the dogs were real funny,staring at it and freddie kept giving it a warning growl lol,here it is



i put my own light fitting in it iff an old lamp,very pleased with it

That's great Sarah Where did you find a salt block? and was it solid, how did you fit the fitting? -

hi ashlady,i got it from a bit of everything shop thats opened in the town centre,some great stuff there ,it was already hollowed out on a wood base,the fitting i put in is off an old lamp but the bit that screws on to hold the shade doesnt fit in,dont need that bit,to hold it in i have used a small hinge,the only snag is i have to turn it on n off at the socket,dead heavy,come in handy to bash oh with if he gets out of hand

aww thats really nice looks so soothing to look at it

very pretty arent they, my mums b/f works in salt mining and he made one himself for my mum
