Antibiotics

I am taking antibiotics for a urine infection and I have now found I have a really sore mouth and tongue, do you think this could be a side effect from the drugs.

Ring the doctors and see what they say - did they suggest you also try a probiotic drink at the same time?

Sounds like thrush to me. Anti-b's have a habit of making it flare up. We all have thrush, it's just normally dormant.

You could try ringing the pharmacy that you got the tablets from Katie, they will probably be able to tell you the side effects of the drug.

One of the girls at work was on Anti-b's for a urine infection and it caused her to have thrush so she was put on to another medication to clear it up. I suppose you have a simular thing but as above I would contact your doctor again and I hope you feel a little better xx
