Was thinking about you earlier today and then fell asleep all evening so have only just read this thread. Sorry to hear the news - it's so very hard when they're poorly especially with something serious. Best wishes for Thursday and will be thinking of you. Try and get some sleep tonight.xxx

Thank you all so much for the support, i really appreciate it and so does little paddy.

Paddy has had a ct and a thin needle respiration (? I have heard alot of technical terms today and they are starting to swim around my head!!!). The vets says ct is good, no signs of the cancer anywhere else... Her leg is very bad, she has a large painful lesion growing on her bone.

She is going in thursday for amputation which we feel is her best chance, she will be out of pain, the vet says if its the worst type of sarcoma she could only have 3 months. Best case scenario 12 months or possibly more. We have to try, she is otherwise happy and healthy. They will start chemo once the amputation is healed.

Thanks for reading and thanks again for your support. Sorry if i dont reply this evening i'm exhausted!!!

Xx clare and paddy xx
I'm reliving Milo's experience with you as it is a year ago next Monday when he had his leg amputated. I'm sending you a message.

Thank you all for your well wishes. We really appreciate them. Paddy is doing well with her painkillers, you can hardly tell anything is wrong apart from all the shaved patches

Just thought i'd pop another piccy of her for you to see her with all 4 legs
I'm so nervous about tomorrow, its going to be a long couple of days.

Thanks again, you have all been so supportive
Xxx clare and paddy xxxx

She is looking very well there.

In May at the Bernese garden party there was a tripawed Bernese. Front leg amputated and an oldie and doing very well. Dillons breeder has a dog in she grooms who had to have a back leg amputated this year and is also doing very well.
They are big heavy dogs and seem to manage well.

(((Hugs))) for tomorrow.

Hope today goes ok for you all. The hardest part is trying not to worry all day; I know I'm always waiting for that phone to ring to let me know my pal is doing ok and I've always been fortunate enough to be able to give a big sigh of relief and deal with the rest when they come home. Looking how fit Paddy looks, I'm sure she'll make a great recovery - they adapt so well. Fingers crossed here for a successful operation.
