My treatment for helicobacter has gone horribly wrong.

have not been on much,

got the blood results back and it turned out to be helicobacter pylori

the doctor gave me "triple therapy" and it all went horribly wrong,
I started taking the drugs on sat morning, by sunday morning I was so unwell but kept taking them, by sunday night I was horribly ill,
by monday morning the doctor decided to abandon the treatment, thank god

Im still struggling to keep food down, to be honest I just cant face food, but I am up and moving today so thats a good thing,

the doctors have said to leave it a month and we can try something else but im not really keen to go down the drug route again,

all in all Im just feeling a bit sorry for myself,

Wondering why you had been so quiet, that sounds positively horrid
I hope there is another treatment that doesnt have this side effect
Massive (but gentle) hugs and some healing vibes
I hope you improve soon

thanks guys, I really have been put off from using 'normal medicine' YS had mentioned some sort of green cabbage stuff so I may look into that or some more natural treatments,

I never really react well to any medication, I think it was just the sheer volume of antibiotics my system couldnt cope with.

I had to take 2000mg of amoxicilin and 1000mg klaricid daily along with some other drug to settle my tummy { for all the good that did me } I have pulled and strained all my tummy muscles from throwing up....

oh hun, you're really not having a good time of it are you.

If you hadn't already lost so much weight I'd be saying that at least that is one upside of being so sick, but as you don't even need to lose the weight, that's no help really.

Hey Shona,

Do you have a juicer? If so get some organic green cabbage and juice a glass of that twice a day (must be drunk fresh - so don't juice and keep for later). I've read it can kill H.Pylori.

Give it a try - can't be any worse than taking antibiotics!!
