Im sorry that you didn’t enjoy it, I think we enjoyed it more because we were there with the owner of the puppies dad and her friend who was showing cairns so it meant that there were lots of people to help with the dog cages, grooming stuff ect. I can see how it wouldn’t be as enjoyable if you were there by yourself in the rain with all the equipment.

LOL - yeah - totally with you. we emigrated to Ireland in 2001 and I came back for Uni - it was the biggest mistake I ever made. I miss the Irish so much. Can't wait as we are moving back there in a couple of years (myself and hubby-to-be) and hopefully atarting an irish rat fancy.

I don't mean to get at the British, because that's what I am - but the Irish are certainly nicer to talk to in show/competition situations.

Which part will you settle in? Look me up!
As an epilogue to the disasterous week, a friend who is still in the UK rang to check the dates as she thought she might come over next year and accompany me in my camper with one of her dogs but is now having second thoughts after hearing the full story!
She might come another time and go to some of the regular Irish shows close to Dublin - much more friendly!!!!!

It sickens you when you have paid all that money to show when idiots make coments like that.
Spotmad you know what you dog is.
The perfect dog has never been bred and never will be.
I don't show anymore.
good luck with your next show.

Gill I have to say the munster circuit was really hard this year
The weather was dreadful worst ever
Last yr was great
I am thinking of skipping Killarney next year as it gets worse each year
the car park is to far away .I parked on the road behind the church ,it was nearer then the car park but still very difficult to get dogs and crates to the field and it was very congested ,Limerick was washed away
I caught a very bad cold after the wetting I got ,
I thought Tralee was good ,pity I did not know you we could have met up
I ended up with one english family staying with me saturday night as they were so fed up being wet in tents ,I invited them to stay and a get a good rest before taking the ferry on sunday even though I lived a 100 miles from the venue they thought it worth the drive to have a bed lol.
But do come next year ,the weather may be different .Funny you should mention it though I found a few of the exhibitors to be rather rude this year as well.
