Retired police dog jed has gone

My dog jed had to be put to sleep today, his back end eventually gave out.
I got Jed in 1998 he was my first police dog, we served together for five before he retired from the police after an injury to is leg. He became a family pet and has been my close friend since.
He protected me and kept me safe on many a dangerous job, and although his name was jed, some of the locals knew him as Bear, because thats ,what he was like.
He was a very special dog both as a partner and as a loving pet, I shall miss him dearly and will always remember my first police dog. PD Jed.
